Call It What You Want

Foster The People | Kimbra | Mayer Hawthorne

My siblings and I went to Foster the People's concert last week. At first I was very hesitant to go because the only familiar song I know from FTP was Pumped Up Kicks. I even remember lying to my sister about me knowing FTP very well and that I listen to their songs when I really don't. But for some reason, I thought it would be a good opportunity to go out, listen to new music, and have a day with my siblings again.

Sea of People

with the YFC Peeps / L-R: Carlo, Charlene, Genny, Me, Ivy, Iris, and Rudolf

First up, Kimbra went up the stage when Ivy, Genny, and I went up the hills to buy some fries. I didn't know who she was until that day, but she definitely have some good music. Very unique, upbeat and jazzy. I listened a couple of her songs a day before the concert, and I found that I wasn't too fond of it yet. However, during her live performance, I seem to find myself dance during her concert.

After Kimbra, Mayer Hawthorne finally hit the stage! I was a fan of Mayer since last year I think? I heard his song "Make You Mine", fell in love, and I listen to his songs from then on.

I remember that few days before the concert, I was wondering if he will come down here and perform live. And, he did! <3 I was destined to go! ;))

He taught us some of his "follow-my-moves"

He's awesome <3

The long wait was over and finally Foster The People went up the stage. Honestly, I didn't know 90% of their lyrics, but I danced all throughout their performance! Plus, I wasn't alone! My friends and even my sister didn't know the lyrics! Haha

Pumped Up Kicks was the anchor why of course! The people weren't so loud about it, in fact I think they were waiting patiently for the FTP to come out and play their famous song, and they did. Lol. I believe they played the remix version and I tell you it was A-AWESOME!

Part two of FTP again please! ;)

After the concert, we headed back to Richmond and had our late dinner at Well Tea. Good food as always.

All in all it was a great day. Had a good company, good music, good food = Happy!
