Color Me Rad is a 5K Run to raise money for the breast cancer organization. It was held in UBC Thunderbird Stadium on August 18th which happened on the date of my birthday. My friend, Genny and my sister, Charlene decided to go for it even though the registration was pretty pricey - $50. When joining this event, you get a kit that contains a RAD tattoo, a ColorMeRad shirt, and a pair of sunglasses.

1 + 2 pics: we finally reached 1k and it showered us with pink powder!
3 + 4 pics: runners running to finish the line ( aren't those ladies wearing tutus the cuteeeest?! (: i love how the pink, blue and purple shades mixed together. ) |
 |
| Reached the blue station. We rolled on the floor just to get the colour on us! Oh how kids! :)) |
 |
| We even had a "Color Me Rad/ootd" photo shoot going on! |
If you are wondering where we got the green/yellow shades, there were two stations that shower us these colours with a mix of water! I believe I didn't take any pictures because I was afraid that my camera would get wet.

Sorry, no final photo of me. I dislike how I look on my last shot but if you follow me on instagram, I think I had one.
Other than that, I think it was a great experience. We didn't really run because we had our backpacks on and we aren't really runners, you know. :P We didn't even warm-up before running! And, I think it was because we felt like we were the last ones or we were too excited! Hehe!
After the run, I decided to cancel the beach chill out with the yfcs because something came up and my parents wanted to see the Zombie Walk event in downtown (which I will blog for my next entry). Plus, I felt like no one will go because the plan was biglaan. :/
Genny, Charlene, and I went back to Richmond to have lunch at Well Tea. In all honesty, this is the first time that I don't know where to eat. Di na ba ako sanay lumabas ngayon?! Haha! I didn't want to suggest Well Tea because we're always there, but that's all I could think of. And, apparently, I wasn't alone! Haha, they were thinking of it too! So yeah, we had our lunch there and Christine dropped by. New found friend! <3

| eww! i'm so dark and fat! D: |
P.S. I think there were approximately 6K runners that joined this event! What a great idea to run for this kind of event, noh? Very fun and open to all ages! :) God bless for those who ran and are going through breast cancer. Keep Fighting!
Join Color Me Rad 5K Run if it happens to be in your city! It is definitely a great experience for you, your friends, and family. And, remember! If you think you are running
from something or someone, run
FOR something!
